Enkosini will supply rangers with the following: a) food; b) accommodation; c) uniform (four tee-shirts); d) radio with charger and spare battery; e) South African SIM card for cell phone. Enkosini will also allow rangers to join one 3-day excursion to Kruger National Park (including transport/guide, but excluding all personal costs). Security deposit of R2,500 not included in one-time expenses as refundable upon completion of 6-12 month contract. Cell phone, tent and sleeping bag are also required. Expenses are all estimates in South African rands (R13: £1GBP and R8:$1USD). Quadbike cost is lowest level – some rangers purchase more expensive quads. Rangers required to contribute 50 litres of fuel per week to ranger group kitty.
